Resistance: The Silent Killer of the Healing Process
Mar 25, 2026
There is a common saying: "What you resist, persists." But the inverse is where the magic happens: "What you embrace, you meet and resolve."
Resistance is a silent form of suffering. It often shows up as a "stance" or an identity – a firm refusal to accept reality. We see this often in health journeys, where a "no" to a specific treatment or a "why me" attitude creates a closure in the heart. This closure prevents the flow of what is actually needed for healing.
Your nervous system is designed to protect you by resisting the unfamiliar, but that same resistance can keep you stuck. True healing begins when we clear our resistance to "what is" and open ourselves to the ancient wisdom within. It is not an easy path – it requires the courage to meet uncomfortable parts of yourself. But on the other side of that resistance is your natural state: sovereignty, beauty, and love.
Questions for the Heart:
-
What part of your life are you currently refusing to love?
-
Are you willing to embrace even just a little bit of what you’ve been fighting?
-
How can you use your breath today to repair the connection with yourself?
In Episode 13 of my podcast, I explore how resistance acts as a barrier to our restoration and how we can finally let it go. Join the conversation here:
