ASHA: Where the Land Breathes, the Soul Remembers, and I Stepped Into a New Chapter

Oct 08, 2026

I'm home from Tuscany.

But honestly, I don't think I've completely come home yet.

Part of me is still there, in the mountains, in the trees, beside the water, surrounded by animals, students, teachers, breath, tears, laughter, and the kind of deep presence that is difficult to put into words.

Every time I return to ASHA, the Alchemy School of Healing Arts, I experience a kind of magic I expect, and yet somehow still can't anticipate.

It was beautiful. It was intense. It was sacred. And it was deeply personal.

There is something about this land…

The land at ASHA is unlike anything I can really describe. There is something alive about it. Something ancient. Something that feels like it is holding you.

The mountains. The trees. The water. The gardens. The silence.

And the animals.

A handful of beloved animals call the land at ASHA home, each with their own completely distinct personality. I found myself watching them often: the way they moved toward people, seemed to know when to come close and when to give space, and simply were.

I had this profound sense that they weren't just living on the land. They were part of its energy, its guardianship, and the sacredness of the space. There was something quietly protective about their presence, reminding me that intuition doesn't always need words.

Sometimes you just know.

From student to trainer

And then there was the part of this journey that felt especially significant to me:

I stepped into leadership.

Not just as someone who has been through the work. Not just as someone who has experienced Alchemy of Breath personally. But as a trainer, someone entrusted to help hold space for students walking through their own deep processes.

That felt huge.

Because I remember where I started. I remember being the person who needed the space. I remember how much this work changed me. And now I was standing on the other side of that experience, assisting students as they moved through their own layers.

Some of those processes were beautiful and expansive. Some were emotional. Some touched deep places of grief, fear, trauma, resistance, and release.

And I found myself feeling incredibly proud. Not because I had all the answers, but because I could stay.

I could breathe.
I could listen.
I could witness.
I could offer feedback when it was needed.
I could help hold a safe container while someone met something within themselves that they had perhaps been carrying for a very long time.

That is a very different kind of leadership than simply standing at the front of a room and teaching. It is learning how to be with people in the places where words aren't enough.

And I realized how much I've grown.

Alchemy of Breath has been part of my own rebirth

This is one of the things that became even clearer to me in Tuscany.

Alchemy of Breath has been so much more than breath for me. The breath was the doorway, but what I found through that doorway was so much more.

It became a way of coming home to my body. A way of meeting emotions instead of running from them. A way of learning to listen, of moving energy, of reconnecting with myself. And eventually, a way of moving through one of the most profound initiations of my life.

My cancer journey changed me. My awakening changed me. My near-death experience changed me. And breathwork became one of the central pathways through my rebirth.

Not because breathing magically makes life easy, but because the breath gave me a way to meet what was actually happening inside of me. To come into relationship with my body. To feel. To soften. To release. To listen. To remember.

And now, years later, I found myself in Tuscany helping other people experience their own relationship with this medicine. There was something incredibly full-circle about that.

The practices become something different when you experience them together

One of the most beautiful parts of ASHA was witnessing the students move through their practices: the Water Breath, the Mandala Breath, and the final breathwork experiences.

Watching people surrender into the process. Watching them support one another. Watching something shift.

I had the privilege of sometimes offering feedback and witnessing the students step into their own facilitation. And sometimes I got to do something equally important:

Breathe.

To receive. To allow someone else to hold the space while I experienced the practice from the other side.

There is such humility in that. As a trainer, I never want to forget what it feels like to be the person lying on the mat, surrendering, trusting the process.

Because we are never really finished learning. We are always moving between holding and being held, teaching and receiving, leading and listening.

And now I'm bringing it home

This may be the part that matters most.

I didn't go to Tuscany just to have a beautiful experience. I came home changed, and I am bringing what I received there into the work I am creating here: my in-person breathwork experiences, my teaching, my online programs, and especially Mind Body Breath Mastery.

MBBM has always been deeply personal to me. It was born from my own experience of moving through illness, awakening, fear, healing, embodiment, and rebirth. But Tuscany gave me another layer of clarity around what I want this work to be.

I don't want people to simply learn information. I don't want this to be another program where you collect tools and then go back to living exactly as you were before.

I want you to experience yourself.

To learn how to listen to your body. To understand the language of your nervous system. To meet emotions as sacred messengers. To explore the relationship between your mind, your body, your breath, and your deeper inner knowing. To begin recognizing the patterns that have been running beneath the surface. And to discover what becomes possible when you stop seeing your body as something to control and begin entering into relationship with it.

Because that is what this work has taught me.

The body is not the enemy.
The emotions are not the enemy.
The breath is not simply a technique.

They are doorways. Gateways…

And sometimes the greatest transformation begins when we become willing to walk through them.

I came to Tuscany as a trainer, but I left with a deeper understanding of why I became one

I started this journey searching for my own way back to myself. I found breath, and through it, discovered parts of myself I didn't even know were waiting to be found. Then I began sharing it, and that changed me all over again.

Now I get to witness others walk through their own doors. To sit beside someone in a deep process, hold space without needing to rescue them, and trust the breath, the body, the process, and myself.

I am incredibly proud of how far I've come and of the leader I am becoming.

Tuscany reminded me that we don't always know where our path is taking us. Sometimes we simply keep walking, breathing, and listening. And then one day, we look around and realize:

Oh.

This is what all of it was preparing me for.

I came home from ASHA carrying a deeper trust, a deeper reverence for this work, and a whole lot of magic that I can't wait to pour into everything that comes next.

The land may be in Tuscany.

But the medicine comes home with me.

And I am so ready to share it.

This is only the beginning.
